The North Texas Methodist annual
conference closed its session at Sher-
man Wednesday. The conference is
in fine condition and reports show
growth in all lines of work.
The report on foreign and domestic
missions and the support of the minis-
try shows a very large increase in

The following resolutions were read
and adopted:
Wheras, the Grand Lodge of I.O.O.
F. of the state of Texas has passed
legislation authorizing county and
district associations, therefore, be it
Resolved, that the representatives
of the 1.0 O.F. lodges in Wise county
now assembled, do hereby constitute
and organize themselves into an asso-
ciation, to be known as the Wise
County Odd Fellows Association, for
the purpose of promoting the princi-
ples of the order and stimulating a
greater interest in the ritualistic and
unwritten work of the order.
The committee on permanent organ-
ization reported the following for offi-
cers: President, J. P. Turner; vice,
H C. Carloss: treasurer, r.J.Weems;
secretary, L. D. Ratliff. The report
was concurredin by the body.
Bridgeport was selected as the next
place of meeting, which will be in
February next.

Miss Mattie Johnston entertained

Dolph Shults has been right rick
for the past two weeks with the slow
fever. He is some better at present.
Ike Killough, of Hobart, Okla., is
visiting his sister, Mrs. J. H. Wal-
lace.
Mrs. W. W. Bowen, of Dallas,
has been visiting her son, E. B. Bow-
en. She returned to her home Mon-
