High School, recently completed
U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit
Training Command, Great Lakes

During the eight-week program,
Ellis completed a variety of training
which included classroom study,
practical hands-on instruction, and
an emphasis on physical fitness. In
particular, Ellis learned naval
customs, first aid, fire fighting,
water safety and survival, and a
variety of safety skills required for
working around ships and aircraft.
Ellis and other recruits also
received instruction on the Navy’s
core values- honor, courage and
commitment, and what the words
mean in guiding personal and
professional conduct Ellis joins
55,000 men and women who will
enter the Navy this year from all
over the country.

Roznovsky. 76, of Alvin, passed
away Monday. March 1. Mr.
Roznovsky was born Nov. 11.
1918 in Shiner and was a resident
of Alvin lor over 60 years. He was

American Rice Growers in Pearland
and was a member of the Catholic
faith Mi Roznovsky served in the
United State Army during World
War II and was preceded in death by
his wife. Gladys Roznovsky in

win big at annual county fair
Alvin High School FFA Champion Swine, first in his swine
