CHAPTER 1045 H.B. No. 1244 1 AN ACT 2 relating to specialty license plates for classic travel trailers. 3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 4 SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, 5 is amended by adding Section 504.5011 to read as follows: 6 Sec. 504.5011. CLASSIC TRAVEL TRAILERS. (a) In this 7 section, "travel trailer" has the meaning assigned by Section 8 502.166. 9 (b) The department shall issue specialty license plates for 10 a travel trailer that is at least 25 years old. The license plates 11 must include the words "Classic Travel Trailer" or a similar 12 designation. 13 (c) A person eligible for the license plates may instead use 14 license plates that were issued by this state in the same year as 15 the model year of the travel trailer and are approved by the 16 department. The department may require the attachment of a 17 registration insignia to the license plate in a manner that does not 18 affect the display of information originally on the license plate. 19 (d) The fee for issuance or approval of license plates under 20 this section is $15. 21 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September i, 2005.
