Gus Foreman, of Fort Worth,
inlast week, and accepted a position'
with Martin & Son's Boot Shop. He,
and Frank Martin Sr. used to work
together at Midland, sending out the
famous cowboy boots to point in N.
M,, and we have every assurance that
Mr. Foreman will be a great addition
to this fast growing shop.
We neglected last week to mention
the fact that Rev. and Ms. J. B. Vin-
son, ofKress, Texas were here look- .

V. E. Hargett and son, Earl, were
here Saturday laying in supplies, as
they said they could save a great
deal on nearly everything by buying
here. They- mentioned several artic-
les 'with the prices there and here,
and we must say that we do not
blame them the least for going 30
miles to do their trading. Mr. Har-
gett said they had a good crop star;
ed and that one reason he comes to
Brownfield is tosget some good old
corn meal ground the old way. ‘
Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Brownfield left
Saturday for Lubbock, to visit over
Sunday.
