Engelken, she was baptized and
confirmed in the Lutheran faith
in Germany and came to Amer-
ica at the age of IT settling in

She was married to Fredrich
Koester, June 2, 1883 at St. Jam-
es Lutheran Church, New Weh-
dem. Her husband preceded her
in death December 31, 1940.
