The ‘good things”- came from
the smashed window of the
Sweeney Jewelry Co. on Houston's
main street. Ernie Lombarde of
New Iberia. La., told police that
“they (Sweeney’s) seemed to
.have the best.,"
So. he said, he "bashed in the
window with a tire iren, scooped
. up everythin in sight, stuffed it
in my’ shitrand walked awy."
That was last June 26. Lombarde
was arrested in Port Arthur Tues-
dy night and brought to Huston
by tw Negro deputies, who re-
covered some $6,000 werth of loot.

The nets brought up part of the

parently from a large plane
Capt. Jose Arteaga said the nets
picked up the parts nt a depth of
110 feet northast f Tampico.
Officials tentatively identified
the parts as from the type of
phne used by .the United States
for seeking out-hurricanes. Such
a plamne disappeared over the Gulf
of Mexico’ last year.
