AUSTIN, Dec. 19—Condition of
Texas cattle Md cheep, declining
alightly during the past month, to
now on per of tbs average for the
past five years, white goats are five
potato below the five-year average,
according to the Dooember livestock
report issued by H. H. Schute and
K. D. Bleed, statiaties at the federal
government for Texas.
Ranges for cattle, holding the acme
level as a month ago, aad for sheep
and goats deteriorating two palate in
a month, still wore up to the five-
year level in December, the report
showed.
Condition of cattle waa placed at
81 per cent of the “normal,” of sheep
at 84 per cent end goals at 85
cent of (his arbitrary figure The
range was 80 per cent normal for
cattle and >1 per cent tor sheep Md
December rains will tend to turn
the range condition upward.
The sheep and goat industry has
felt effects of the decline ia prices
of wool and mohair, the report said.
