PROMINENT CLARENDON
CITIZEN PASSES AWAY
CLARENDON, Oct. 26— Matt Bennett,
prominent Clarendon citizen, was buried
here thi* morning after having suc-
sumbed to an attack of illness Sunday
morning. Mr. Bennett waa formerly
president of the Clarendon Chamber of
Commerce and at the time of hi* death
-ras a member of the local board of
public school trustees. He was survived
by his wife and seven children. Inter-
ment wa* had at the citizens cemetery
here, the other six members ofc the local
trustees acting as pallbearers.
