est crowds ever present at a like oc-
casion in this part of the country.
By nine o’clock the crowd had be-
gun to gether, and by twelve there
was over one thousand people pres-
ent, there being 110 cars, 40 wagons
and hacks and over 50 buggies,bring-
ing the people in from every .direct-

people from Abilene, Plainview,Ralls
Floydada, Cockney, and in fact many
from all the adjoining counties. The
