eight men and lour women, today
found former Insurance Commis-
stoner J. Byron Saunders guilty
of perjury and recommended a
two-year prison sentence.
AS PRESIDENT OF the Texas

wrote Dr. Fidel Castro, prime min-
ister of Cuba, suggesting, that he
hold a. brief press conference with

they visit Cuba next April on their
convention cruise. Today we re-
ceived the answer. The director of

wrote that Dr Castro had read the
invitation with great interest, and

Carl Wendler, Brenham High
School FFA teacher, took top hon-
or* in the poultry breeding show
His entry won the honor for be-
ing the best male bird in the show
and Wendler was also given the
main award for the best display
and the best pen.
His male which was judged best
is the same bird which took similar
honors at the recent Fayette Coun-
ty Fair in LaGrange.
The award for having the best
female bird went to Milton Bosse.
