Camp signup
continues
Registration began Monday for
area Girl Scouts interested in
attending summer day camp.
There are now two camps for
Scouts in Allen, Plano, Murphy,
Parker and Wylie. Most children are
familiar with Raccoon Hollow, which
about 400 girls attended last year.
However, a new camp, Twilight
Hollow, has been added. It is espe-
cially designed for working adults
and children who are in day care or
summer school.
Registration for Twilight Hollow
will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the
Spring Creek Campus of Collin
County Community College.
Raccoon Hollow registration will
take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
today at Fire Station No. 6, 900
Seabrook, in Plano.
The $15 fee for camp covers prog-
ram supplies, food, beverages and a
special day camp patch.
Raccoon Hollow camp will be held
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 11 to 15,
while Twilight Hollow attendees will
meet from 6 to 10 p.m. that week.
There is no paid staff for the day
camps. The camps are able to exist
through the services of volunteers.
Anyone interested in volunteering
may contact Janet Margul at
517-8661, Yvonne Moore at
517-5651 or attend registration,
since volunteers will need to be
registered.
