Thursday afternoon bingo H
games may be one of the favorite ■
activities at the Brownwood Care K
Center, but it is by no means the ■
only one. I
At the beginning of each month I
a calendar of events is posted by ■
activity director Pat Dutton. En- I
tertaining afternoons are S
provided by church groups,
scouts, individuals and other
organizations who volunteer their •
talents in singing and in- >
strumental music.
Birthday parties, sponsored by
the Coggin Baptist Church, are b‘
held once a month to celebrate all 4
the birthdays occuring in that *
month. All the residents join in to
sing happy birthday and eat ice
cream and cake.
Residents keep active by
sewing, crocheting, leather work,
and various crafts which are sold
throughout the year. This money
combined with profits from the
annual rummage sale held last
Friday go toward activities and
supplies for the resident.
The last Thursday of each mon-
th is reserved for the “Forty-Two
Party,” a domino game volun-
teered by the Golden Oldums
senior citizens group of Brown- |
wood. I
