1 Shortly after moving into our present bank facilities,
we began to notice some difficulty with the doors of
our building. The heavy doors were hard to open, par-
ticularly for some of the older customers of the bank.
During the past several years many attempts have been
made to adjust the doors or otherwise make it easier
to operate these doors. Recently this problem was
solved by removing the heavy, hard-to-manage doors and
by replacing them with a sliding automatic door that
opens when a person approaches. This has been accom-
plished on the north or parking lot side of the building,
and it will also be added at the other entrance to the
bank sometime next year.
We are pleased to announce this change in appreciation
of those who have continued to come into the bank despite
the ordeal of the heavy doors. We appreciate our senior
citizens and all they have meant to this community.

The government of India
‘ recently acknowledged that its
commemorative stamp honor-
ing Mahatma Gandhi and Pan-
dit Nehru, issued nine years
ago, was based on an original
photograph taken by Max Des

At that tune the stamp's de-
sign was officially credited to
an Indian artist based on a pho-
tograph from the collection of

Immediately after the stamp
was issued in August 1979 ef-
forts were made to inform In-
dian government officials that
the stamp was based on Des-
