CHRIST HAS POWER TO
MAKE
MEN GOO'S CHILDREN
John 1:11-13,
That Christ has the capacity
to change the children of men
into children of God is carried in
these words. "He came unto his
own, and his own received him
not. But as many as received
him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God, even to
those who believe on his name:
who were born, not of blood, nor
of the will of the flesh, nor of the
will of man. but of God." All
who accept Christ and trust in
His name, become the children
of God, being born of God, and
not of natural blood nor of
physical or human impulse. The
greatest thing that can happen
to a person is to become a
spiritual son of God by his
personal faith in Christ as his
Savior.
CHRIST REFLECTS GOD’S
GLORY, John 1:14
Our Scripture states this fact
in these words, "And the Word
was made flesh, and dwelt
among us, (and we beheld his
glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father.) full of
grace and truth." The Word
became human and lived a little
while among us, and we ac-
tually saw His glory. The glory
of One who is an only Son of His
Father, and He was full of
spiritual blessing and truth

Christ’s part in creation
reminds us of the longer ac-
count of the creative process as
recorded in the first part of the
book of Genesis, "All things
were made by him; and without
him was not anything made that
was made. In him was life; and
the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in
darkness; and the darkness
comdrehended it not”
JESUS CHRIST IS THE
TRUE LIGHT. John 1:3-10
Jesus' mission as the Light of
the world is set forth in this
statement, "That was the true
Light which lighteth every man
that cometh into the world."
Christ is the genuine, perfect,
steadfast, real Light that
illumines every person. No
other light is needed He is
sufficient. He provides all the
light that is needed.

God Reveals Himself
John 1:1-5, 9-18
With this lesson we begin a
series of six studies on the
general subject of what God
does. with emphasis in this case
on God’s revelation of Himself
THE DEITY OF JESUS
CHRIST. John 1:1-2.
Ihe theme of the book of John
is indicated in the first few
verses of the first chapter. and
is the incarnation of the eternal
Word, and Son of God, Himself
God, in Jesus Christ, (1) to
reveal God in terms of a human
life; and (8) that as many as
believe on Him as "The Christ,
the Son of God,” (20:21) may
have eternal life. The deity of
Christ is described in these
words, “In the beginning was
the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was
God. The same was in the
beginning with God." Christ as
the Word is an expression of
God, Divine Message, Christian
message, Thought, Instruction,
Christian doctrine. In Christ are
embodied all the treasures of
divien wisdom, the collective
thought of God Jesus is, from
eternity, but especially in His
incarnation, the utterance or
expression of the Person and
thought of Deity. In the Being,
Person, and work of Christ,
Deity is told out. The eternal
Word became human, to make
God known to men.
CHRIST’S PRE-INC ARNA-
TION
WORK. John 1:35
