The Texas City Times, published at
the livest Seaport in the Southwest,
will direct its entire energies to the
business interests of our Southwestern
Country. It will be non-political and
non-sectarian.
Texas City, being a growing seaport,
dependent on the producing fields of, the
Southwest, of which it is the natural
outlet, and the commerce from the At-
lantic seaboard and foreigh countries,
for its growth and commercial advance-
ment, will through its weekly publi-
cation endeavor to supply its pat-
rons, with such information, as will be
beneficial to them in their respective
avocations.
Its columns will be directed along such
lines, that will cover rail and water
transportation, movement of vessels,
export and import trade, harbors and
docks, salvage and repairs, shipbuilding
and all subjects that might have a ten-
dency toward the growth of the South-
west. It will not however, lose sight of
the social side of life, and will endea-
vor to faithfully chronicle the weekly
happenings of this busy Seaport.
It will always be the aim of this paper
