Shipping will continue heavy
for at least three months more
through the port of Texas City,
heavy contracts having been
made for the movement of ex-
port cotton, metals and timber
to European destinations. Dur-
ing the past week there has been
a slight abatement in the amount
of tonnage handled at the local
docks, but bookings for the im-
mediate future assure an in-
creased activity for some time to
come. The new high-density
press is kept in operation without
ceasing day or night.
