Schroeder softball field Sun-
day night White’s Auto Beau-
ties unleashed a murderous
barrage, and when the dust
settled they had defeated
Hahn** Ready Mix Cementers
in both games of a double head-
er, 14 to 9 and 11 ot 19 to win
the ladies softball tournament of
1964.
One of the largest and by
far the mhqst lively crowds of
the season wore kept on their
feet most of both games.for...
here were two fine teams who
apulledoutall the.stopawith a
hungry desire for victory.
For the Beauties, it was a
tremendous and well earned
win, for in order to win the
tournament they had to defeat
Hahn's twice and this was no
small feat with the Cementers
having a record of no defeats
for the season. But the Beauties,
with the poise and grace of
champions went about the job
like old pros to achieve, what
looked impossible.
Winning pitcher for both
games. Laverna Gaskamp, bat
developed into one of the finest
hurlers in the league coming in
Voss, a 155-pound speedster, i they intercepted as Voss pass
