as a table delicacy. Seedsmen in
this country not only ship seed

market for their product in the
Chinese districts of New York

The production of watermelon
seed is an industry by itself. In
a single county in Florida ap-
proximately 7,000 acres of water-
melons are grown annually for
seed purposes. This one section
supplies a great proportion of the
watermelon 966(1 planted in the
United States, and on occasion
also ships to foreign planters. In
recent years shipments of seed
for planting have been made to
arsu, Asia Minor, to China, and
other far-distant points.

It is right to give the child a
chance. Boys in particular are
apt to do things which are not
always the right thing. When a
boy commits an offense-the first

deed and the ultimate result of
such conduct on his part, will do
him more good, perhaps. than a
abort term at a reformatory. In
addition to such a lecture, if the
boy is given some task to perform
for a certain length of time, it
will in most cases reform him
and leave with him a lasting
recollection of the good that was
done him, and he will likely in
the future try to do some meas-
ure of good in return. Of course,
the parental influence should in
all cases be brought to beer.
