Mrs. Harry Martin was hostess
to members of the Royal Neigh-
bors lodge Friday evening with -a
Halloween party at her home,
1019 North Taylor street. She was
assisted by Mrs. R. C. Massey and
Mrs. Mae Radcliffe, cohostesses.
Fall flowers decorated the home
and orange lights gave the Hallo-
ween decorations added color.
A variety show named “Trick
or Treat" ""tn"
pantomime number, which was
both singing and dancing, was
furnished by Mmes. Clyde Stottle
meyer and R. A. Walters, Jr.
This was a blackface number in
costume and was well received.
Little Joan Stottlemeyer did
specialty tap numbers and was
encored for a second. Miles Ray
Clark gave a hillbilly’s descrip-
tion of a football game. The show
climaxed an evening’s entertain-
ment for the children who visited
special booths fixed in class-
rooms and Mrs. Frank Moore ’re-
ported the net total profit on the
event would be around $375.
Mrs. Ken Blanton was general
chairman, assisted by all mem-
bers of the Parent-Teacher asso-
ciation.

Mrs. George Spaeth of Lindsay
was given a surprise party Friday
afternoon on her 70th birthday by
her daughters and about 20 of her
close friends attended.

here had three litters in one week
-28 offspring in all. Dr. Lemuel
H. Woodworth, a veterinarian,
said this sort of thing is “unusual
but has happened before.” He
said the sow mated twice and
was doubly pregnant. The third
