Of foremost interest was the
1956 legislative program an-
nounced by Mrs. C. C. Redding,
San Antonio, chairman, and
adopted by the group. Although
part of the program is a continu-
ation of last year’s work, the
delegates voted to support more
adequate appropriation for the
youth development council in the
legislature; to support legislation
providing improved facilities and
procedures for dealing with youth
In difficulty; to support the gen-
eral election in November, 1956;
the constitutional amendment for
retirement, SJR5; and
egislation for the recodi-
o t Texas school laws.
