It seems that accidents f
the same nature of all kinds
are contagioun like diseases.
We have had in our town, in
less than two weeks, two se-
rieus fire accidents. Little
May Hatchett was badlv bur-
ned. and Heary Barrick’s lit-
tle 4 months babe was fatally
burned. Both are girls and
the accidents occurred about
the same time in the morning.
Both were tied in rocking
chairs and bath fell almost in
the same position. Little
May was saved by a dress,
which protected her face,
while the other lav at tne
mercy of the lire.— Chieo Re-
view.
Thousands of Texans will
be delighted to read that the
Dallas State fair will be held
again this vear, and despite
the losses of last Fall that it
will be on a larger scale than
ever. The directory recently
held a meeting at the office
of President John N. Simp-
son. It was unanimouslv
presence of "‛ina‛‛ assists a
doctor greatly in curing a re-
cently married sick daughter.
There’s novedy like mother.
Mr. Greenwood’s outfit is
speedily raising the grade on
the Rock Island across Oates
Branch, west of us. and we
are preparieg for a ride on
the iniative train, and judg-
ing from appearances that
will be ere long.
You’re right, hurrah for
the building of the new town
at Gary’s. It seems to have
changed Tom’s “nater,” as
the oid woman called it. He
dont seem over 16 now, his
finance is so swelled, you see.
In fear of tramps our good
neighbor takes his shot gun
to the field. He heard that
they ate men, and being new-
ly married, he’s not ready to
be disposed of, at least in that
way.
Nearly all our peachee are
killed. I’m so sorrv.
