The company is composed of actors
and actresses of prominence and wide
experience, spending a considerable
portion of their time in the northern
states. Their tent will be located on
East Main street, opposite the Inter-
national hotel.
Bob,’’ were shocked to learn of his
death Wednesday evening at his
home on Salt Creek, after a brief ill-
ness with pneumonia. Interment
took place Thursday at Cottondale.—

vices at the Methodist church Sunday

pastor, Rev. Moreland, will be of in-

The Independent telephone ex-
change pere has been rebuilt since
the recent fire, and new fixtures
throughout have been installed. Eve-
rything is new and modern, giving
the exchange the best equipment it
has ever had. Service was resnmed

and the new office is now in full oper-
ation.

rate. This is a splendid move, and
no man in Decatur did more to bring
about the improvement than Alder-

Ben Hopson for a 25x50 re-inforced
concrete building on the site former-
ly occupied by the Boone blacksmith
shop The building will be occupied
by the Maiden A Hardwick butcher
shop. Mr. Hopson began work on
the building Monday and will push
the construction. Mr. Hopson is one
of the city’s best workmen, and this
building will be a credit to West
Main street.
