very optimistic over the outlook for
the coming session, and stated to a
Messenger reporter yesterday that he
fully expected the school to fuin
all the requirements for full amlia-
tion during this session. Decatur
school now has twelve and one-half
units toward affiliation, lacking oni
three and one-half points. One great
drawback this year in acquiring need-
ed studies to complete the course of
required study is the fact that the
building ie so crowded that other
classes cannot be added. Superin
tendent Johnston wanted to add sev-
eral subjects this year, but was un-
able to do so on account of the
crowded condition. One of the re-
quirements for affiliation is that not
more than twenty five etudents shall
e in am class; yet the classes now ।
come nearer averaging fifty in num- 1
her than twenty-five.
