The home of our estcemed felle w
citizen. Mr. Skygak, has heeu the
scene of much activity the- past two
weeks. His house has been so full
of company Hint their feet stuck out
at all the windows. To make laid
matters worse the visit- es slipped in
on him without fair warning an
caught him unprepared. Bethel folks
have handed together and adopted a
signal system to warn each other
against unespeeted visitors, but tins
time the signals would not work in
Mr. Skygak’s case. The system is
very simple and is used to protec
neighbors against visitors mid revenue
officers. The plan is when a strang-

of course the owl mid coyote cry
is not resorted to only in xtreme case
as it can only arouse the whole
neighborhood ami does; not warn any
special one. When all signals have
failed and the visitors get in any way
the neighbors get together and send
some food to the stricken home. This
is a beautiful practice and a wonder-
ful help but it didn’t work in Mr
Skygak’s case. In the first place
some of the neighbors had company
of their own ami couldn't send any-
thing. and some were expecting cun
pany and couldn't send anything and
some didn't have anything to even
feed their own family so the result
was a wrecked home in our midst.
When all the visitors, uncles, mints,
cousins, brothers, sisters, neices, in
laws and those connected by manda-
mus and habeas corpus, got into the
house the walls fairly bulged and
feet and legs stuck out the window.
