Joining together this week to sponsor a giant 2-page foot-
ball schedule in The News Bulletin are 47 Medina Valley
business firms and individuals.
The attractive schedule lists the full slate of both the
Medina Valley Panthers and St Louis Comets. The schedules
were provided by St. Louis Athletic Director Leon Tschit
hart and Medina Valley Supt. A. D. Blue.
News Bulletin readers are urged, of course, to save the ,

trailer came loose from the
hitch last week while pulling
it on the lake toad. The trail-
er and the boat went sailing

Most of the members of |
the expert barbecuing squad
were at the Park Saturday -
evening. After all, they had to
get the mesquite burning for
the many coals heeded to bar-
becue the 5900 pounds grain-
fed prime beef.
Shortly before 11 a.m. the
meal line gates were opened
and the big rush was on. As
many as 2000 were fed per I
hour and by late in the after-
noon the visitors had been
fed, ..... . j

They were thirsty, too, for

Circumstances surrounding
the World War II death of
RUDOLPH WURZBACH, Son
of Hugo Wurzbach, Rio Medina
apparently has been estab-
lished. He lost his life serv-
ing in the Philippines, in
1941. It was believed he
died in the treacherous Bataan
death march. A Mr. Childress
of Leakey reported , however,
Rudolph . was killed in the
fighting by a Japanese bomb.
Childress, who related the
story to Baker Stanley Haby,
said he was standing beside
Wurzbach when the bomb hit.
