navy where he gained the distinc-
tion of winning two championships

England where his newly develop-
ed team played for and won the
United Kingdom title at London,
after winning the South England
and Wales tournament.
Producing championship teams
and contenders, however, was
nothing new to Wilhite. Prior to
coming to Dallas as assistant
coach at Highland Park in 1941,
he coached Oklahoma high school
powerhouses at both Atoka and
later at McAlester.
Upon his return to civilian life
after naval service, he entered
Mr. and Mrs. Forest Warren and
family.
An ancient remedy for fever
was to wash water over the pa-
tient and onto a frog, to which
the fever was supposed to pass.
