Correction
In the District Court records,
where Michael Berman was listed as
receiving a five-year probated sen-
tence for theft, inadvertently omitted
was the heading which stated,
“Order reducing sentence and term-
inating probation.” Berman has
successfully fulfilled the terms of
probation and they were removed by
court order.

Emily Scott will be featured as the
artist of the month for January at the
Depot Gallery. She has been a
member of the Highland Art Guild
for seven years and has been happy
to be able to learn from the many
artists who come to the guild to
demonstrate their skills and teach
workshops. She enjoys the excite-
ment of the two art shows the guilds

Fans of the Flashbacks, you’ll be
glad to hear that they will be playing
at the February 13 Sweetheart Ball.
However, it will probably be their
last performance at West Lake
Buchanan until fall or winter of 1988.
This group is in such demand, as
well as having family commitments,
that they will not be playing for a
dance here for quite a while, so be
sure to get in on this one.
Starting at 8 p.m., there will be
dance music, floor show, door prizes,
crowning of a senior king and queen.
The club roon of the Red Barn will be
transformed into a social room for
those who would like to play cards,
converse or just listen to the music.
There will be a table near the
dance floor designated for singles, so
if you would like to sit with other
singles, request that when you call
Ruth Philp at 793-2822 for tickets.
The master of ceremonies will be a
professional comic from Houston.
Your ticket purchase will include
everything except your own bottle.
There will be set-ups, ice, glasses
and. hors d’oeuvres included all
evening in your $10 per person
ticket. Hope you like these new
added attractions.
Lakeside Singers, don’t forget the
February 1 rehearsal date at the Red
Barn from 7 to 8:15 p.m. The spring
program will be “An Evening on
Broadway.” with nearly a whole
evening of show tunes. Cultured
voices are not needed to join this
group, but reading ability is helpful
and a joy of singing a must.
Watch for details of the March 19-
auxiliary-sponsored event to help
buy smoke ejectors or eaters or
something for the Red Barn.
The Hill Country Democrats are
planning a luncheon in our area
January 28 and a rally on January 30.
Watch for their information.
