There fore, volunteers are encour-

Some times there is little of which
to write and this is one of those
times, however, a very important
event happened yesterday. Our
friend and lifetime resident of
Castell, (until a few years ago) Jim
Leifeste, celebrated his birthday.
Birthday number? 99 years! Mr. Jim
is a resident in a nursing home in
Fredericksburg and considering his
age, is doing well.
I believe the following fits Mr. Jim:
"Love is the one commodity the
more of which you give away.

Except for a lengthy executive
session, after which no announce-
ments were made of actions taken,
the Llano Memorial Hospital’s board
of directors meeting last Thursday
night was exceptionally short, and
consisted primarily of discussions as
to how the hospital’s financial
position could be improved.
According to a telephone interview
with Administrator James Alexan-
der, directors decided to adopt two
new admissions policies: first. Med-
icare patients will be asked to take
care of the deductible portions of
their Medicare coverage when ad-
mitted; second, all patients will be
asked to pay the estimated deduct-
ible amount of their insurance
coverage.
