took place on the observation deck of

The new Mrs. Bohannon, who is the
daughter of LaVon U. Foland of
Littleton. Colorado, and Jerry D.
Foland of Kingsland, wore a long,
white satin gown made with a fitted
bodice that featured a scoop neckline
filled with lace and net, rising to a
stand-up, Mandarin-style collar. Her
long full net sleeves were accented at
the shoulders and cuffs with lace.
Her skirt, finished with a deep satin
and lace ruffle, swept back into a
bouffant cascade of rows of crisp lace
flounces. Her waist-length veil of
illusion was trimmed with a narrow
lace border, and she carried a
bouquet of greenery, stephanotis,
roses and other flowers that carried
out her chosen color scheme of peach
and lavender.
The boatride up to the site of the
wedding was enlivened by the
groom’s racing past in a speedboat
provided by Larry Brumfield to
precede the wedding assembly to the
falls, standing up and waving

Hill Coyntry Manor began the
week with'Richard Moser standing
in for Pastor Rodger Croker. The
residents said they enjoyed seeing
Richard again, but were sorry Pastor
Croker had to go to a funeral.
We welcome Hoot Gipson to Hili
Country Manor and hope his many
friends will come to see him.
Mrs. Nola Holland and Mrs. Velma
Hoy went to Lone Grove with Myrtle
Holland for a day. It is always nice
when families take the residents out
for a while. Frankie Foster went to
her home to visit with Missy. Gladys
Manning went out visiting with her
daughter and shopping. Madlyn
Henley had a nice day out on the
town.
• We now have some pretty herbs for
the dining room windows.
Clarence Castellaw spent Friday in
Burnet on business.
Administrator Mildred Overstreet
and Karen Powell were in Austin two
days to a meeting. Dorothy Cate,
food service supervisor, spent the
week in Atlanta, Georgia, at a
meeting.
The birthday party was Wednesday
Alpha Delta Zeta Sorority has
chosen Gwen Beasley as its Valen-
tine Sweetheart for 1988. Her
princesses are Karla Thiers and
Tamara Cowan. They will be hon-
ored at the upcoming annual Valen-
tine dance, which is being co-hosted
by Xi Phi Lambda.
Attending the bride was her sister,
Lori Foland of California, who was
her maid of honor.
Cheyrice Brumfield of Kingsland,
Kim Bohannon of Austin and Lois
Womack of Marble Falls were
in charge of the reception.
Out-of-town guests were Tom Sil-
chia of California; Barry, Sheila and
Taunya Foland of Austin; Trisha,
Suzi, Michelle, Matthew and Sherril
Bohannon of Austin and Frank and
David Bohannon of Austin.
Following the unique and romantic
event, which took place on December
19, 1987, the couple left for Colorado
for their wedding trip. They will
make their home in Kingsland.
