at services held at Waldrope-Hat-
field Chapel in Llano for Perry H.
Burton, 80, on February 4, 1988.
Burial was at Llano City Cemetery.
Mr. Perry, the widower of Mary
Louise Smith, was born on October
11, 1907, in Artesia, New Mexico, to
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Burton. He
died on February 1. He was retired
from the United States Navy.
He is survived by several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma
E. Edwards of Tuttle, Oklahoma,
were held on January 27,1988, in the
Wilson Funeral Home chapel with
the Rev. Ed Porter, pastor of the
Church of the Nazarene of El Reno,
officiating. Burial was in the El Reno
Cemetery.

awarded the general construction bid
for $1,225,000. The bid calls for
construction of a new high school
band hall, seven classrooms and a
cafetorium at junior high and two
classrooms and a music room at the
elementary school.

Survivors are a sister, Dolly Harrell
of Austin, and three brothers,
Johnny Harrell of Smithville, Dur-
ward Harrell of Dallas and Mason
Harrell of Austin.
Harrell Funeral Home of Austin
was in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services for V.O. Felton,
91, of Marble Falls took place at the
First Baptist Church in Kingsland on
January 27, 1988, with the Rev.
James Franklin and the Rev. Jim
Green officiating. Burial was at
Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in
Burnet County. 8
Mr. Felton died on January 24. He
was born on September 16, 1896, in
Sulphur Springs, Texas, to James
Henry Felton and the former Flor-
ence Tenley. He and Ruby Newman
of Highland Haven, who survives
him, were married on November 13,
1954, in San Antonio. A retired Civil
Service employee, he was a member
of the First Baptist Church in
Kingsland.
Pallbearers were Billy Mangum,
Jimmy Mangum, Larry Mangum,
Sam Hoover, Hershel Bevers and
Robert Davis. Honorary pallbearers
were members of the men’s Sunday
school class.
Waldrope-Hatfield Funeral Home
was in charge.
Other survivors are a daughter,
Mrs. Janice Lutz of College Station;
two brothers, Raymond Phillips of
Winters and Leslie Phillips of
Weslaco, and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Sam E. Bills,
Marvin Stringer, Charles Grigson,
Ray Smith, Jim Foster and Jim
Corbin. Honorary pallbearers were
deacons of the church.

field Funeral Home.

A.J. "Phil” Phillips, 80, of
Buchanan Dam, died on January 25.
1988. Funeral services were held at
the Chapel of the Hills Baptist
Church on January 27, with the Rev.
Richard Rust officiating. Burial was
at Bluffton Cemetery.
Mr. Phillips, who was born in Paint
Rock, Texas, on February 16, 1907,
to George Washington Philljps and
the former Sarah Ratliff, moved to
Buchanan Dam in 1970 from Odessa.
He and Judell Mathis, of Buchanan
Dam, who survives him, were
married on December 5, 1925, in
Runnels County, Texas. He was a
member of the Chapel of the Hills
Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Ella Pearle
Littlepage, 80, of Llano,' will be held
on February 4, 1988, at 10 a.m. at
Lutie Watkins Memorial United
Methodist Church in Llano, with the
Rev. Donald Jones officiating. Burial
will take place in Llano City
Cemetery.
Mrs. Littlepage, the widow of Elmo
Littlepage of Llano, died on February
1. She was preceded in death by a
brother, Boyce Harrell of Smithville,
and a sister, Avanelle Harrell
Iscah W. Mateer, 88, of Kings-
land. a retired Dean of Girls at
Phoenix Union High School in
Arizona, died on January 31, 1988.
Memorial services will be held at
Kingsland Community Church on
February 5, with the Rev. George
Bellford officiating.
Miss Mateer, the daughter of
Wilbur Mateer and the former Anna
Masedon, was born on January 24,
1899, in Cunningham, Kansas.
She is survived by brother, Robert
Mateer of Natick, Mass., and three
sisters, Mrs. Avis Winsor of Kings-
land, Helen Akers of Grand Island,
New York, and Grace Damon of
Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Arrangements were made by Wal-
drope-Hatfield Funeral Home.

Mrs. Edwards died January 25 in
Oklahoma City. She was born
December 10, 1913, in Haskel,
Oklahoma.
She is survived by her husband,
W.W. Edwards, of the home; a
daughter, Mrs. Don Paul (Susie)
Barnes of Kingsland; two brothers,
Al Sullaway of Del City and Kenneth
Sullaway of Hinton, Oklahoma; five
grandchildren and two great grand-
children.
Pallbearers were Allen Pfister,
Charlie Watkins, Dayion Smith,
Larry Bush, Ronnie Umfrid and
Kenneth Laird.
Grenwelge
Bessie Grenwelge, 87, of Llano,
was buried in Llano City Cemetery
following services on February 2,
1988, at Waldrope Hatfield Chapel.
The Rev. Bill Schardin officiated.
The widow of Rudolph Frederick
Grenwelge, she had been a lifetime
Llano County resident and was a
member of St. Johns Lutheran
Church at Castell. She died on
February 1, and was born on March
13, 1900, in Castell to John William
Bauer and the former Bertha Flint.
Survivors include two sons, Norman
Grenwelge of Llano and Roy Gren-
welge of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs.
Margaret Kent of Sandy, Texas; two
brothers, Lee and Billy Bauer, both
of Llano; two sisters, Mrs. Annie
Walker of Castell and Mrs. Elizabeth
Black of San Antonio, six grandchil-
dren and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Stanley Kent,
Day ton Leifeste, Roy Flint, Carlos
Sagebiel, Leonard Grenwelge and
Ron Gearhart.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry
Kent, Charlie Hoffmann, Weldon
Bauer, J.W. Bauer, Cecil Grenwelge
and Martin Kowierschke.
