As of Sunday night, we at our
house have smelled rain, but it did
not materialize. However, just above
Castell, rain poured for awhile.
Everyone is so anxious for that
moisture, which is so badly needed.
Friday noon, we had a grass fire
east of us. Luckily it was extingui-
shed by the time our fire trucks
arrived.
A former neighbor, Otto Hoitzer
and wife Annette, and their children,
Charles and Cathy, all of Ft. Worth,
were in Llano Saturday at the
Norman Hotizers. Brother Emil,
sisters Anita Oestreich and Hilda
Hoffmann with their families were
down on Saturday for a mini-reun-
ion.
The Carlos Sagebiels spent the
weekend with their children in
Burleson.
Georgia Ann (Mrs. Freddie) Hop-
son of Cedar Park spent a couple of
days last week with her parents, the
Charles Hoffmans.
Our weekend guests were Katye
Kowierschke, daughter Sandra Mc-
Candless and her twin baby girls,
Sydney and Sara, all from Bryan.
Also Karen Fishari from Killeen. It
seems our neighbor, Don Schautteet,
and Katye lived next door to
each other when they were teena-
gers. Don and his wife came over
and he and Katye became re-
acquainted and had a ball recalling
friends and neighbors and also their
school teachers. It is a small world i
after all.
Our sympathy to the family of

We were saddened to hear of the
