If the weather cooperates, you just
might have the opportunity to see
some hot air balloons drift by some
time Sunday, March 27. The Central
Texas Balloon Club is planning a
flight in the Llano area, especially if
the prevailing wind is out of the
south. Several of the seven-story hot
air balloons are planning to lift off
from the vicinity of Enchanted Rock
State Park early Sunday morning.
If, for some reason, the weather
does not cooperate, a second attempt
will be made April 17. The two main
factors that would prevent a flight
would be rainy or windy weather.
Hot air balloons can not be guided
and the chase crew is an essential
part of the flight. Landing sites are
usually large open fields and every
effort is made to protect property
and livestock from any damage.
Should you see a hot air balloon, you
are invited to participate in the
chase.
