The Llano County Democratic
Convention met in the District.
Courtroom st the Llano County
Courthouse at 2 p.m. on Saturday,
March 19, to attend t’the business
of the Llano County Democratic a
Party. Forty-seven delegates, alter-
nates. and visitors participated.
Six delegates and six alternates
were elected to attend the Democra-
tic State Convention in Houston on
June 17 and 18. Those elected
delegates sre Hershel Doyle, Bever-
ly Roberts, Dan Robinson, Jr., who
also was elected delegation chair,
Martin Moxley, James Foster and
Clara Lou Sawyer..
Alternates elected are L.T. Des-
Champs, Susan Roberts, Margie
Jung, Dorothy Moxley, Joyce Foster

position open for election and in
some cases, s few more than needed.
As of Tuesday, one more name was
added to the list snd this was for
alderman on the Llano City Council.
Incumbent Eugene Russell broke a
long period of silence and announced
at the council meeting Monday night
that he would seek a second term on
the council. Other incumbents are
Jeff Hopf and Roy Goff.

Seeking re-election are Mayor Ed
Houy and commissioners Dick Hart
and Harold Grant. Rowena Kimmey
has also joined the commissioner
race.
