Wind, hail hits
Llano County
A thunderstorm that swept the
I south part of Llano County late
Monday afternoon turned severe
I with high winds and a possible
I tornado along with hall that repor-
I tedly covered the ground with some
hailstones as large as ping pong
balls.
Travelers near Oxford on H 16,
| south of Llano sought cover under
trees as hailstones began falling.
Some vehicles reportedly had hail
damage.
I A possible tornado hit the Adolph
Honig place where winds were said
to have destroyed two barns. Ano-
ther traveler from Fredericksburg
Tuesday morning saw several trees
I knocked down south of town.
The city of Llano was also hit by
heavy winds, but little damage was
done. Most residents expressed
relief on escaping the hail storm, but
were disappointed not to get any
much-needed rain.
