We are getting several calls about
cutants. Entomologists have come
up with a new remedy which seems
to work fairly well. A bait is
formulated by mixing % pound of
Orthene 75 percent in a standard
sized box of bran bud cereal. This
bait is then scattered around mounds
and down foraging trails.

The Budweiser Eagles slammed
their way to three consecutive
victories this past week, the most
important of which was a 6-3 victory
over the Flint Rockers to break a tie
for first place and give the Eagles a
slim lead. The Rockers stayed close
by beating the Busch Bears and Hill
Country Manor while the only victory
for the Bears was over HC Manor
who went winless for the week. The
spring league ends May 26, and it
appears it will go right down to the
wire.
The following game highlights have
been provided by scorekeeper Hine
Flint.
Eadle18,HCMamer2 *
HUI Country Manor had a very
brief 1-0 lead in the top of the first
inning, but the Budweiser Eagles
doused any hopes HC might have
had for a second victory by scoring
four runs intheir half of the first. The
Eagles scored in every inning but the
fifth, when HC Manor got its second
ran of the night.
Randy Scott was the leading hitter,
going 4 for 5, scoring 2 runs and
getting 4 RBis. Bobby Chitwood
picked up the victory allowing only
14 hits.
