Buie Maxine Reed died in the
Houston on June 28, 1968. She was
born July 22, 1917, to Albert Garrett
and the former Ora Lee Buie. She
was married to Herbert L. Reed on
September 20, 1934. He preceded
her in death on December 5, 1975.
She was a member of the College
Park Baptist Church, and a resident
of Houston since 1949. She was a
retired cosmotologist.
Survivors include her two sons.
Herbie Clinton Reed and Jerry Lee
Reed, both of Houston; staters,
Juanita Kersting of Mt. Juliet,
Tenn., and Mildred Frazier of Llano,
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held in
Houston on July 1 at the Earthman
Bellaire Chapel with Dr. David
Crosby officiating. Graveside
services took place at Llano City
Cemetery on July 2, with Rev.
Rodger N. Croker officiating.
Waldrope-Hatfield Funeral Home
made the arrangements.

Mrs. Nelson was born February
18, 1911, in Rotan, Texas, to Ben
Summers and Laura Dean Summers
She was a resident of Marble Falls
for 20 years, having formerly lived in
Hale Center, Texas. A school
teacher for 31 years, Mrs. Nelson
was a member of the Texas State
Teacher’s Assn.
Funeral services were held on
June 25 at the First Baptist Church
in Kingsland, with the Rev. Jim
Franklin officiating. Interment
followed in the Lakeland Hills
Memorial Park. Services were under
the direction of the Clements-Wilcox
Funeral Home in Marble Falls.
Survivors include her husband.
