1988, for Hallie B. Stribling, 89. of
Llano, who died August 27. The Rev.
Jerald Moore officiated.
Mrs. Stribling was born August 13,
1899, in Llano County at Wright’s

Jones, Jr., of Houston, and Donald
Wray Jones of Round Rock; two
daughters, Lets Bryson of La Feria,
Texas, and Bonnye Kay Jones of
Covington, Louisiana; three sisters.
Myrtle Treadwell of Texline, Kate
Bradley of Amarillo, and Virgie
Turner of Knox City, Texas; five
grandchildren and nine great grand-
children.
Pallbearers were Pat Patton, Al-
bert Forkey. John Hamilton, Grady
Hall, E.L. Dann and Homer Thorp.

Starr Hare, who won several
prizes in the 1988 annual children’s
art show sponsored by the Llano Fine
Arts Guild, is a fifth-grade student in
Marble Falls. The daughter of Gary
and Belinda Hare of Marble Falls,
Starr spends the summer months in
Llano with her grandparents, Jimmy
and Winnie J. Morgan.
Creek to Suel Buchanan and the
former Lurah Hillman. The widow of
John B. Stribling, she was a member
of the First Baptist Church in Llano.
Surviving her are a son, John
Sribling of Dawn, Texas, four grand-
children and three great grandchild-
ren.

1988, at Lakeland Hills Memorial
Park in Burnet County for Ben F.
Bearden, 91, of Buchanan Dam,
following services held at Waldrope-
Hatfield Funeral Chapel In Kings-
land. Officiating was the Rev.
George Belford.
Mr. Bearden, who died August 25,
was born in Rogers, Texas, on June
22, 1897, to John Rueben Bearden
and the former Maggie Frasier. He
was a member of the Kingsland
Community Church.
He and Teana Sharrone were
married on April 19,1964 in Boerne.
The Beardens came to the Buch-
anan Dam area 21 years ago;
together they owned and operated
Teana’s Lounge in the Buchanan*
Dam area, unique in the community
for providing a home-like atmos-
phere for its many loyal and loving
patrons. Mr. Bearden was the
’’father” of the extended family that

Rainey Isham, 72, of Lone Grove,
died on August 25 at 4 p.m. at Lone
Grove.
Services were held Saturday,
August 27 at the Howell-Doran
Chapel in San Saba. Interment was
in the China Creek Cemetery.
Born January 25, 1916, in the
China Creek community, Mr. Isham
was a member of the Baptist Church
in San Saba, and had been a resident
of Lone Grove for the past 12 years.
Survivors are his wife, Mary
Isham of Lone Grove; two sons and
daughters-in-law, Ted and Lynn
Isham of Gordon Grove, California;
and Tim and Pat Isham of Holly-
wood, California; three grandchil-
dren and one great grandchild; two
brothers, Grady Isham of San Saba
and Sam Isham of San Saba; one
sister, Flossie Franklin of San Saba
and several nieces snd nephews.
Pallbearers were Walter Over-
street, Byrd Bates, Worth Isham,
Glen Casbeer, Joe Parks snd Paul
Parks.
The family requests that sny
memorials be made to the American
Cancer Society.

Funeral services took place at
Waldrope-Hatfield Chapel on Aug-
ust 23, 1988, in Kingsland for Peter
“Pete” Henry Geib, 91, of Kings-
land. The Rev. Richard Johnson
officiated Burial was at Lakeland
Hills Memorial Park in Burnet
County.
Mr. Geib died Auguat 22. He was
born on June 17, 1897, in Del Rio to
Peter Philip Geib and the former
Ursula Oeffinger. The widower of
Ora M. Geib, he waa retired from the
Central Power and Light Company;
was a member of the Highland
United Methodist Church, and of
Masonic Lodge 1424 in Kingsind, as
well as Eastern Star 1118.
Surviving him are a stepson,
Robert W. Morton of Summerville,
Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Alice
McDonald of Del Rio and Mrs. Lydia
Eddins of Midland; one grand-
daughter and one great grand-
daughter.
Pallbearers were Richard Pring,
Randy Cowman, Skinny Naff, Royce
Bowers, B.C. Isenhower and J.C.

Funeral services were held at the
First Baptist Church in Kingsland for
John Bowie Blalock, 76, of Kings-
land, on August 27, 1988. The Rev.
Jim Franklin officiated. Burial fol-
lowed at Kermit Cemetery in Ker-
mit, Texas.
Mr. Blalock died August 25. He was
born to John Blalock and the former
Mary Elizabeth Bowie on September
15, 1911, in Cass County, Texaa. He
and Ernestine Estes were married on Ezsaussmm
May 25, 1974, in Kingsland. He had 5,
been a pumper/gauger for Exxon in ztt
Kermit before his retirement. He 2253
was a member of the First Baptist EBo"
Church in Kingsland, and of the "
Kermit Lodge 1258.
Besides his wife, Ernestine, of
Kingsland, he is survived by daugh-
ters Barbara Alderman Kennedy of
