Llano County Judge W.R. Miller
had to vote to break a tie among
commissioners Tuesday to pay
Burnet Independent School District
$13,900 as that school district's
available portion of funds from the
lease of Llano school lands near San
for payment of the funds. Judge
Miller broke the tie and voted in
favor of the motion. Miller said, "I
don't even like them being over
here, but that is what the law says
and we must pay them.”
The court agreed unanimously to
payments of $125,000 and $50,000 to
the Llano school district for its
portion of the funds for lease of the
school lands for 1987 and 1988
The court appointed Jayne Fischer
to the Llano County Library board as
representative from the Junior Wo-
men’s Culture Club and at the
same time rescinded an earlier
appointment of Helen Ussery to the
library board, since she was not a
member of the culture club.
Other Action
In other action, the court:
•Tabled a request from the
Buchanan VFD for funds. The court
said it would not consider any further
disbursements until after January 1,
1989.
