The Farmers Home Administra-

members of socially disadvantaged
groups, including minorities, acquire
land for farming, J. Lynn Futch,
FmHA State Director, said today.
FmHA can also provide other loan

likely to be significant enough to
affect the U.S. meat industry or
consumer prices, USDA said.
School holidays begin December

looking forward to this.
Under the new program, FmHA

categories who are interested in
farming and can qualify for an
FmHA farm ownership loan. The
agency would also be prepared to
sell or lease to them a farm held in its
inventory if any are available in that

The new program was included in
the agricultural credit act signed
earlier this year, Futch said, and
funds have been reserved for farm
purchases based on the population of
socially disadvantaged persons.

Smith has been involved in the
automobile business for more than
22 years beginning in his father's
Volkswagen dealership in Tyler. He
has been sales manager at two

derson and more recently at Conroe.
The Smiths’ interest in Llano began
many years ago as they have both

lease for 22 years. “It has always
been our dream to live here,” Smith
said. “But until now, we had no way
to make a living in Llano. Now we
have realized our dreams...being in
Llano and having our own dealer-
ship. The natural, unspoiled beauty
of Llano and the genuineness of its
people greatly appeal to us.”
Both Smiths are graduates of
Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler.
They are also graduates of the
University of Texas.
Ronnie's activities include St.
