was. Lots of cuts and bruises, but no
broken bones.
Upon successfully completing the
Air Force’s six-weeks basic military
training at Lackland Air Force Base,
Texas, Airman Slaughter will receive
technical training in the Personnel
Spec career area. Airman Slaughter
is a 1985 graduate of Llano High
School.

Show and Rodeo Thursday. Warren
came across the finish line first with

Those enjoying a fish fry last
Sunday at the home of Bill and Pria

The Two Cemetery Association will
meet April 28 at the Community
House at 7 p.m.
Ray Wilburn is a patient in the
Fredericksburg hospital. His wife
and children are with him there.
Mrs. J.W. Morgan was in Florence
last Saturday to attend the meeting
of the Womens Fellowship of the

Southwest Area Camping Squares
held its April campout in Llano City
Park, April 15-17. It was one of the
largest campouts ever with 80+
rigs. Twelve Roadrunner couples
attended the festivities. Two of the
three host couples were Roadrunners
— the Kellys and the Dobrowolskis.
The Llano Chamber of Commerce
presented information packets; the
Evening Lions Club cooked breakfast
Saturday and Sunday mornings and
the public turned out to watch the
dancing. Seven callers exhibited
their talents and Charles Macha
cued the rounds.
At our last dance on April 14, five
squares kicked up their heels to Dave
Allen’s calling. He even threw in a
little progressive. Hostesses for the
evening were Mildred Kelly and

birthday, but was playing hooky to
attend a granddaughter’s wedding.
Good to see Gordon Latta on the
mend. Sympathy to Glen Holder on

gins and former Roadrunner presi-
dents Paul and Freelin McClothing.
Special guests were Mac and Fran-
ces McHenry and son from Belton,
who were in the are* for the
campout.
Mid-Tex Festival will be in Austin,
May 6 and 7 at the Texas Heritage
Center. Also Dean Crowell from
Pasadena has been booked to call for
the Roadrunners, May 26 and
August 11. Dave Allen has prior
commitments and will not be here to
call, but he will call for us tonight at
the Burgundy Room at 8 p.m. We
invite you all to join us.

Lynn Cannon, who has been a
patient in Shepperd Hospital in

ketbail, teeing up a football, jumping
rope, tying a bandana, setting a
table, and making a paper airplane.

4-H Club met at the extension office.
There were around 15 members
there and one adult leader. One new
member joined.
Marilyn Hale talked about 4-H
camps, state and district. She talked
about method demonstrations and
