Delmar Harrell, 61, of Dallas, were
held June 28,1968, at Heath Baptist
Church in Heath, Texas
Mr. Harrell, who died June 26,
Mrs. Cooper is Grand Marshal for
the Kingsland Aqua-Boom Land
Parade which gets underway at 7
p.m. Saturday through down town
Kingsland. She is also scheduled to
attend the Sunday River Parade
which will include four decorated
pontoon boats entered by the Llano
County Republicans. A number of
county Republicans will be riding
these river floats.

American Legion Hall here in Llano.
Bob Krause was elected first vice
commander of the post and C.W.
Weaver was elected 2nd vice com-
mander. ,
Ray Sumrall is the chaplain, Luke
Rogers was named judge advocate,
Bruce Wootton was elected adjutant
and Tommy Milam is the finance
officer.

"Newsprint has more than doubl-
ed in just eight years,” Buckner
explained. “I can remember when,
newprint was $70 a ton. Now it is
over $670 a ton.”
Price for single copies will be 50
cents and subscriptions for Llano and
Burnet Counties will be $14 a year.

will hear talk
by Dr. Hudson
The regular monthly meeting of
the Diabetes Support Group will be
held Thursday, July 7, at 10 a.m. at
the Red Barn at Buchanan Dam.
Dr.J.A. Hudson, an opthamologist
from Burnet, will speak on eye care
for the diabetic and special eye
problems encountered by diabetics.
Diabetics and their family
members are encouraged to attend.
The Diabetes Support Group was
established to help diabetics under-
stand more about the condition and
its management and to encourage
sharing ideas and concerns with
other diabetics.

N. B. Stewart, 76, of Llano, died
on June 23, 1988. Services took
place at Waldrope-Hatfield Funeral
Chapel on June 25, with Chaplain
Begott officiating. Burial was at
Llano City Cemetery.
Mr. Stewart was born in Dobby-
ville, Texas, on October 7, 1911, to
James and Hattie Stewart. He and
Beatrice Mansell were married on
September 19, 1947, in Fredericks-
burg. He served in the United States
Army during World War II.
Besides his wife, Bea, of Llano, he
is survived by a stepdaughter, Rosa
Lee Merkel of Llano; a brother, Leon
Stewart of San Saba; six sisters,
Dollie Alexander of Lampasas, Mary
Doyle of Breckenridge, Texas, Laura
Griffoy of San Saba, Mary Anna
Petty of Colenun, Odessa Parks of
Bay City and Frances Parks of San
Saba.
Pallbearers were Francis K. Scott,
Jimmy Don Gray, Butch Stovall,
James Merkel, Sam Merkel and
Marvin Kuhn.
Honorary pallbearers were Hobby
Haliburton, Sonnie Rosa, Jackey
Stafford, Calvin Moses, Lewis Harris,
Jacky Holcomb, John Lawler, Lloyd
Beasley, Tanner Faris and Mark
Beaubien.

Burial was in Llano City Cemetery
for Edwin Lee Ratliff, 63, of Llano,
following services on June 26, 1988,
at Waldrope-Hatfield Chapel.
Brother Herbert Newman officiated.
Mr. Ratliff, who died June 25, was
born November 11, 1924, in Llano
County to Calvin O. Ratliff and the
former Nora Belle Bradshaw. He
was a lifetime Llano resident.
Survivors are two brothers, W. J.
Ratliff of Llano and Charles L. Ratliff
of Austin; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy
Reeves of Brady and Mrs. Elizabeth
Blackwood of Burbank, California,
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Floyd Ratliff,
Robert Reeves, James Reeves,
Damon McClary, C.R. Tatsch and
. Reggie Witten.
Graveside services were held at
$ Oxford Cemetery on June 26, 1968,
