just a clod of dirt, but when It hit the ground, it bounced. Scrubbing off some
of the dirt revealed the tennis ball.

Services were held at Waldrope-
Hatfield Chapel in Kingsland on
August 30, 1988, for Frank Pfeiffer,
68, of Sunrise Beach, who died
August 27. The Rev. Richard John-
son officiated. The Rev. Randy
Coney officiated during burial rites
on August 31 at Decker Prairie
Cemetery in Decker Prairie, Texas.
Mr. Pfeiffer was born on November
13, 1919, in Columbus, Ohio, to
Albert Pfeiffer and the former
Fannie Hedges. He and Billie Crabill
were married on February 18, 1943,
in Houston. A retired industrial
machinist at Georsource in Houston,
he was a member of the Federated
Church.
Besides his wife, Billie, of Sunrise
Beach, he is survived by a son, Frank
Pfeiffer, Jr., Houston; a brother,
Alvin Pfeiffer, Columbus; two sis-
ters, Ruth Parkinson and Anna Mae
Parker, both of Columbus, and two
grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were Wally
Walker, Jim Pollard, Bill Carothers,
Paul Looney, Harold Grant, Dick
Hart, Ed Houy and Boyce Young.

Elouise Robbins Harris, 75, of
Cherokee, died September 1, 1988.
Services were held at Waldrope-
Hatfield Chapel in Llano on Septem-
ber 3, with Brothers Herbert New-
man and Rodney Tedford officiating.
Burial was at Cherokee Cemetery.
Mrs. Harris, daughter of James
Robert Robbins and the former Josie
Lee Hughes, was born in Cherokee
on March 2, 1913. The widow of C.D.
Harris, she had been a nurse before
retirement, having worked at Baylor
University Medical Center.
Mrs. Harris is survived by two
brothers, Richard Robbins of Abi-
lene and James Robbins of Chero-
kee, and a number of nieces and
nephews.
Pallbearers were John Bailey,
John Altizer, Morris Randolph.
Oliver B. Altizer, Mac Daugherty
and Shad Bryson.

Mrs. McIver was born in Sulphur
Springs. Mississippi, on November
18, 1897, to W.B. Greenwood and "
the former Marie Craton. She had
lived in Texarkana since 1900.
She attended the Sacred Heart
Academy; was a graduate registered
nurse and served as a captain in the
Army Nurses Corp during World
War I. Prior to her marriage to
Claude Moore, she served as assis-
tant superintendent of Texarkana
Hospital.
Following the death of Mr. Moore
in 1951, she married H.M. McIver.
She was active in many civic, social
and political organizations, among
them the United Daughters of
Confederacy, the Catholic Daugh-
ters, the Texas Nurses Association,
the Texarkana Pioneer Association,
and the American Legion auxiliary.
Surviving her are a son, William
"Bud" Moore of Rosenberg, Texas;
three daughters, Mariallen Mour-
sund of Round Mountain, Rita Fuchs
of Burbank. Oklahoma, and Claudine
Junker of Rosenberg; a sister, Mary
Ellen Greenwood of Dallas, eight
grandchildren and two great grand-
children.
