( SAN FRANCISCO—The Cin-
cinnati Reds are threatening to
'take over second place in the Na-
tional League from the San Fran-
cisco Giants. But Acting Manager
Dick Sisler says second place
isn’t the players’ goal. He com-
ments:
“No one around here is talking
about second—we still feel we
have a real chance to take it I
all.”
The Reds trail the Giants by
one game, and are seven games
back of the leading Philadelphia
Phillies.
In an attempt to gain a sweep
of their three-game series with
the Giants, the Reds will send
Joe Nuxhall to the mound today.
The Giants will use either Gay-
lord Perry or the ailing Juan
Marichal.

HOUSTON—The Denver Bron-
cos and the Houston Oilers
square off in an American Foot-
ball League exhibition match
here tonight.
The Broncos’ offense is expect-
ed to be directed by Quarterback
Jacky Lee, who’ll be facing his

Lee was acquired last week
by Denver in what the Oiler of-

In exchange the Oilers received
Veteran Tackle Bud McFadin

Oiler spokesmen said Lee
would return to the Oilers in two

CHICAGO — The American

The Baltimore Orioles continue
to lead the pack. But the Chicago
White Sox are only one-half

Baltimore.
The White Sox made it three
in a row over the Yankees last
night, recording a 4 to 2 deci-

“I don’t know what I was do-

are we doing, playing these close
