The Circuses.
The town is full of circuses and circus
men. There are three circuses in the
city one on Houston street one on
South Flores street and one on the open
square west of South Pecos street. Each
one gives good performances.
None of them opened their tents
last night strictly observing the
Sunday law. Shields’ and Howe’s
ten cent shows will remain all of this
week. Howe’s exhibited Saturday night
to a crowd of over 2000 people and gave
a performance worth 50 cents or $l for
10 cents.
