Here is an article from the
July, 1966 issueof the "Men’s
Hairstylist & Barber’s Jour-
nal” that I thought mightbe of
interest.
Its title is, "Boy Leads A
Dog’s Life.” Lexington, Ky.-
Stephen Lewis, 15, is the on-
ly boy in Kentucky—or perhaps
the only boy in the world—who
is licensed aS a dog. Stephen,
,7
with bangs that reach his eye-
brows, wears the Fayette
county dog tag No. 58115 on
his 1 collar—his shirt collar,
that is. Stephen was labeled
a member of the canine crowd
after his father—a college pro-
fessor—took out a dog’s li-
cense in. Stephen’s name be-
cause he refused to cut his
Beatle bangs. The application
for the license read: DOG’S
NAME: Stephen Lewis;
BREED: American Beatle;
MARKINGS: Boy with bangs.”
This fad has started here,
and I, as a barber, favor hav-
ing all boys wearing Beatle

the financial help you have
fostered through your thorough
and accurate reports of the

that treatment will continue

And then they say thanks
for the understanding you have
persistently conveyed to your

of all, bolsters their convic-.
