Reason for the Expansion Sale:
The contractors have given a heavy bond to guarantee the completion of our new
home early in the year 1913.
It will be the largest building in the entire South devoted exclusively to the retailing
of Dry Goods and we have determined that on the opening day in the new building
with its new fixtures we will offer you entirely new stocks in every department.
Not a dollar's worth of Spring and Summer Merchandise will be moved. At all
times our stocks are clean fresh and seasonable—we never offer our customers undesirable
merchandise—yet everything in our present stock must be sold without regard to cost
or profit.
This is the first of a series of Expansion Sales that will be held during the Summer-
others will follow from time to time with as great or even greater bargains than are
offered here.
Even on this double page we cannot tell you all the exceptional values throughout
the store. When you come tomorrow you will find hundreds of others.
