Card of Thanks
We want to take this means of
expressing our thanks to the"
many folks that remembered us
at the time of the death of our
loved one, Barbee. We appreci-
ate the many beautiful flowers,
the sympathy cards, those that
attended the funeral for her, and
to the people that remember us
in prayer.
A special thanks for the meal
that was prepared and served at
the First United Methodist
Church in Goldthwaite, to Bro.
Sid Spiller and Bro. Doug Holtz-
claw for taking part in the ser-
vice and for their visits to Bar-
bee, to the Goldthwaite Senior
Health Center and Hillview
Manor Nursing Home for their
care of her, and to Ricky and his
staff at the Stacy-Wilkins Fu-
neral Home. All these kind deeds
will be remembered.

Condensed Milk
Over a hundred years ago
, when Gail Borden, American
) pioneer and inventor, was cross-
J ing the Atlantic from England,
; tow children on board died be-
cause the milk was contami-
nated.
He began to dream of a way to
make milk safe for shipboard
use. He eventually discovered a
way through a principle called
"condensed milk."
When Gail Borden died, his
gravestone carried this epitaph:
"I tried and failed. I tried again
and again and succeeded."
The secret of business success
is the combination of imagina-
tion and enterprise.
