today as he returned to Congress for a
16th term. His task: helping lawyers
pick a jury for his trial on federal
Z bribery, perjury and conspiracy
charges.
The colorful Democrat from Penn-
sylvania’s anthracite coal region was
to be sworn in at noon today along
with other representatives and
senators at the official opening of the
96th Congress.
But before Flood was to take his
oath of office, U.S. district Judge
Oliver Gasch was to begin questioning
prospective jurors for Flood's trial on
harges that he abused his office by.
