These f guns indicate, and to me clearly show, that one of two
things must be done. The schools must have more money, or expensen
must ultimately be further reduced. The former means more taxes. The
latter means the lowering of the high standard school efficiency the
community has enjoyed for years. This is an economic problem that
the citizens of Cleburne must solve sooner or later.
The average operating cost, per enrolled pup', last year was ♦45.11.
" The avernge coat of town -nchoola. throughout, the country; ns vouched
for by the Federal Bureau of Eduehtion, is about $78.00 per enrolled
pupil. In other words, we are operting our schools at about 70 per
cent below the average cost of town nchocls of the country.
Respectfully submitted, ‛

All along the t’de-wnter frontiers

great bu'k of the nat’on, the true

by word of mouth. The vast net-

From Washington, the radio pro-
