gin shaping plans for the year's

banks begin resumption of ordinary
business, with naming of commit-
-tees and other activities to be out-
lined. As he said, a hard pace was
set for the new board by President
H. C. Custard and his cQ-workers
during the past year.
The Interscholastie League meet
will be the means of bringing sever-
al thousand people to Cleburne dur-
ing the present, week while’ prelim-
mary events are being worked out.

timated that, between 5,000 and 6,-
000 visitors, drawn by the various
contests, will throng the city, com-
ing here from every quarter of
Johnson county. A hearty welcome
should be tendered these good peo-

tesy extended by the business and
professionalmen of the city. Judge
Ward declared.

pointed a committee of one to ar-

opment in golf circles for the week
is the early spring tournament at
the Bluebonnet course where qual-
ifying • rounds are being played.
This contest bids fair to show one
of the largest entries ever had in
a local tourament. Over 25 had post-
ed scores Thursday night, and with
play continuing over the present
week-end and Sunday it is likely
that this number will be booster
well up toward* 100
